What: BI-LO will present Camp Spearhead board members and campers with $25,000 from money raised by the BI-LO Charity Classic.

Where: The Thornblade Club, 1275 Thornblade Boulevard, Greer, SC 29650

When: Monday, June 13, 2005 at 10:30 am

Information: Dean Cohagan, BI-LO's president and CEO, will present Camp Spearhead campers and board members with a check for $25,000. In recent months, Camp Spearhead, an organization for people with special needs and disabilities, was in danger of closing its doors for this summer and needed $25,000 to remain open. With money from the BI-LO Charity Classic, Camp Spearhead is open for campers this year.

Nick Rothenberger will be in attendance at the check presentation. Nick is a BI-LO Associate who has attended Camp Spearhead on numerous occasions. He recently competed in the 2005 Special Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, where he won a Gold Medal in Ice Skating. Nick is a member of the Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Program and he serves as a Global Messenger.

According to Dean Cohagan, President and CEO, "BI-LO is proud of Nick and all that he has accomplished. We are glad that through funds from the BI-LO Charity Classic we are able to help Camp Spearhead remain open so individuals like Nick can continue to attend."
